LOURDES ‘AT HOME’
Last year, because of the economic crisis, many people were unable to afford the cost of travelling to Lourdes with the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage. So, Bishop Tom led a Lourdes ‘At Home’ Pilgrimage across the Archdiocese while the Archbishop led the Pilgrimage in Lourdes. It is planned to do the same again this year with the Archbishop leading the Pilgrimage at home.
The pilgrimage will arrive in Leigh Pastoral Area on Wednesday 28th July and will take place at Our Lady of the Rosary:
8.00 am Early Morning Mass
12.00 noon Mass of Anointing of the Sick (followed by lunch)
7.30 pm Holy Hour
It would help greatly if you could sign the appropriate sheet at the back of church if: (a) you want to be anointed at the Mass of Anointing, (b) you will be staying for lunch after the Mass of Anointing, or (c) you require transport to Our Lady of the Rosary.
We would be grateful if Eucharistic Ministers, SVP Visitors and others who visit those who are sick and housebound. could extend an invitation to those they visit and sign the appropriate sheets at the back of church on their behalf.
